I just recently acquired the German version of Rubik's ZigZaw Puzzle. It's called Rubik's Profi Puzzle. I didn't even know there was a German version, eventhough I have now found out that Jaap mentions it on his Puzzle Page. This made me wonder: Are there any other versions? Also: Which other Rubik's Games are out there that I might have missed? I own: Rubik's Magic Strategy Game, Rubik's Race aka Rubik's Color Match, Rubik's Game aka Rubik's Challenge aka Rubik's Mühle, Rubik's Tangle, Rubik's Tactoe, Rubik's Sudoku I have seen pictures of: Rubik's Eclipse, Rubik's Cube Card Game, Rubik's Brain Game, Rubik's Illusion, Rubik's Infinity, Rubik's Magic JigSaw Puzzle, Rubik's Logic Wow, that's quite a few, I hadn't even realized that until I actually typed it just now. Cheers, Celia

There is also Rubik's Checkers Challenge, although I don't own a copy so I can't give you details. Besides that, BoardGameGeek doesn't list any more under a search for "Rubik", other than the Revolution, if you count that. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeksearch ... ubik&B1=Go

Thanks for your replies so far! I had seen the Rubik's Royal Brainteaser Puzzle. It didn't look very "Rubik's" to me, so I assumed the makers had just used the name, which I realize might not have been legal. In the pictures that are provided by the myoldmac-link it can be seen that it is by Rubik's. The boardgamegeek-link is cool, too. Does anyone know what Rubik's Line Up is? There's no picture to it. I don't count the Revolution or the Clock as games, though the Revolution comes pretty close. Hm, I'm not sure how to specify my category. After all, the jigsaws count, though they're not actually games. I guess I mean games that are played on a table (plus the Challenge/Game/Mühle ). Does that make sense?

(If you click on the entry for Line Up in the search, it also mentions that it's the same as Rubik's Logic.)

Celia, I have the line up and it's two sets of blocks with a black or white base. The bug and I play it often. You have to flip your piece on it's side to move it across the board, and I think the object is to get 3 or 4 in a row of the same color. i.e. all top faces should be red.
It's a great-easy game for kids to learn!

Hi Celia! List (so far) of Rubik's games, toys, not-well-known-puzzles, or not-one-piece puzzles in alphabetical order: Rubik's Brain Game Rubik's BricksRubik's Challenge (aka Rubik's Game, aka Rubik's Mühle) Rubik's Checkers Challenge Rubik's Cube Card Game Rubik's Double TangramRubik's Eclipse Rubik's Illusion Rubik's Infinity Rubik's Line Up (aka Rubik's Logic) Rubik's Logic Rubik's Magic JigSaw Puzzle Rubik's Race (aka Rubik's Color Match) Rubik's Revolution Rubik's Royal Brainteaser Puzzle Rubik's Sudoku Rubik's Tactoe Rubik's Tangle (there are four paper versions, and one plastic) Rubik's Zigzaw PuzzleI am pretty sure this sums up pretty much everything about those pretty items. Dr. Panda, Wasn't there a 5th paper version with larger tiles and for promotional purposes? Or is that something that someone just made themselves? I've seen them a few times over the years on eBay. Rubik's card game also has 2 different versions, and there is also the Titanium version of the Revolution and the mini-revolution as well. And how could you forget that insanely priced new Electronic cube? *too much useless knowledge Charlie

* Hi David J, I consider Rubik's Maze a twisty puzzle, not a game. Categorizing can get difficult and it can be particularly hard to describe the differences you see between them to others. Cheers, Celia

There's also this Rubik's Puzzle World from Nintendo DS. Not a PC game, but still a console game though.

David, this possibility actually came to my mind when I read your post. starrie, you might have misread the topic. I probably should have titled it "Games by Rubik's" instead.

While surfing through eBay today, I saw something called "Rubik's Ice" It looks to me to be the titanium version of the Revolution, but I can't verify that off the picture I saw.
Tonight Dr. Panda and I visited Smaz's shop and saw the Sudoku cube he has there. It is much larger than the ones we have-so there is a pretty good chance they remade this one as well. If I remember, one day I will bring mine over and take a photo of the two together.
I also was reminded of the pretty pink fuzzy girly Rubik's cube (no, I can't remember the name-but it's the one Calzone got for me and others). In HK, they are packaged the same, but the cube itself is black and not purple. Not a game I know, but an interesting change in the selling location and color of hte puzzle. This may be the same for the sudoku.

Are you sure it wasn't a Rubik's Ice Cube, which is simply a 2x2x2 cube, except made from transparent plastics. katsmom wrote: Tonight Dr. Panda and I visited Smaz's shop and saw the Sudoku cube he has there. ... It's not clear from your post whether you know, but the Rubik's Sudoku on the list does not refer to a sudoku cube. I don't think there has ever been a Rubik's brand sudoku cube.

There is a new "Ice Edition" of the Revolution but I don't know what's different about it. I've never touched any of the Revolutions.

Yes Jaap, you are correct. It is Rubik's Sudoku (and it has many pieces). There are two types, one small and one large. I confused Rox by mixing up her brain using mahjong pieces to remind her of the mahjong cube! Pantazis

Of course I know it isn't the 2x2x2 I looked around and found this one here. It is just as I thought, a revolution, but with transparent edges. jaap wrote: katsmom wrote: Tonight Dr. Panda and I visited Smaz's shop and saw the Sudoku cube he has there. ... I also know this isn't a Rubik's branded sudoku cube puzzle-those are done by toysmith and American toys and games (are there any other companies that made this?) We are talking about this game. It appears to have two different sizes. I think this one would classify as a game.

Sorry, but I can't link to it right now, because I get a load error when I try to access it. He might be working on it. You can also find both on Rob's Puzzle Page in the Pattern category (subcategory Route Building).
