Hi all,

Is there a twisty puzzle collector in Australia that has a Charles and Diana Rubik's Cube from the 80's, that they would be prepared to lend to the "Collectors" programme on the ABC?

They are filming a 1980's special and they would need it for their filming in the studio next week. It's short notice so there probably wouldn't be time to send one from overseas.

(I will be on the programme, as I was dobbed in to them. :) )

If you've got one please PM me!

Thanks

Warwick.

Sorry Warwick, but I do not have one. I used to see one forever on ebay,
but it's not there any more the past couple of years.

I am sure someone who is more into variations than me will have one?

:)

Besides TimMc, the three of us are the sum total of Australians on the forum.

If anyone internationally could loan one, Pantazis and myself can vouch for Woz.

Thanks for the vote of confidence... but unfortunately there wouldn't be time for one to be sent from overseas I think.

Well, when I travel to and from Australia, I need *more* than just overnight,
and I am talking about direct flights here. Please do not exaggerate.

Courier services will never negotiate anything less than 3-4 *working* days,
(i.e. can easily reach a week when talking about normal days).

And this information comes from an Australian collector.

;)

Last resort solution: Find the pictures on the internet and print them on white labels.

Well, when you're desperate you need to get creative...

In fact, that is not a bad idea!

Warwick, what do you think?

:)

Being on collectors is certainly drive enough! Though I will organise the after-tour for you.

That is a very good idea. If you can get the scans of the faces, print to gloss photo paper at Harvey Norman and glue down, you'll get a very nice result.

Lots of good ideas there...

Not to worry, the programme will be able to manage without it- perhaps they'll use a pic.
