Today I have started another weekly series of Creative Crafthouse reviews (now Puzzle Crafthouse). The first is for the Save the Queen puzzle, where you have just four pieces and need to arrange them in a tray so that no two queens can be repeated in any row, column or diagonal. There are 4 sliders which can't be pop out. More over, this Russian
puzzle has 2 solutions.

Just published my second review for a Roscreative puzzle, the Rudenko Matryoshka. Anyone that knows how to solve a Tower of Hanoi will have no problem in solving this one. Great implementation by Valery Rudenko with the Matryoshka theme that's worth a try. Read about it here.

Another week full of reviews ending. Today, I have posted about an edge-matching pattern puzzle, the Color Match Triangle, similar in concept to the Triazzle. It consists of 16 triangular pieces with colored dots on their edges and you have to also match the tiles with the tray colors. This one's quite a pain to solve. To read it, click here.

Today's review is for another puzzle manufactured at Puzzle Crafthouse (a.k.a Creative Crafthouse), the Reilly's Cube designed by Mike Reilly. Eight pieces with holes and pins have to be assembled and matched into a cube. Very nice design. Here's the link.

Today, I have reviewed the third Roscreative puzzle, the Rudenko Mosaic. It's a slide puzzle with 16 tiles and it's double-sided, meaning that you have two challenges to solve. On one side there's the St. Basil's Cathedral and on the other side the tiles are distributed in four colors and you just have to make colored patterns. This is a very original slide puzzle by Valery Rudenko. Here's the link to find out more.

The last review of the month is for the Raising Tower, an assembly puzzle designed by Jean Claude Constantin. 18 pieces with three colors divided in four types have none to three notches and have to be stacked in a nine-storey tower. Here's the link.

The first review of April is for a wire/disentanglement puzzle, the Beetle Bug. This is PuzzleMaster's version of Tucker-Jones House original from 1985, the Satan's Stirrup. A nice level of difficulty, which is not too frustrating but can be quite tricky. Here's the link.

I reviewed another Roscreative puzzle, the Rudenko Doser. This is a nice looking puzzle with an appearance similar to an hourglass, except it has 3 vessels. The object is to measure different quantities in six tasks with increasing difficulty. Here's the link.

My new review is for a challenging pyramid puzzle, the Cannonball, designed by Mike Reilly. The puzzle has seven pieces with a different 5-ball configuration and you just have to assemble them into a 5x5x5 pyramid. Here's the link.

Today, I have reviewed the fifth and last Roscreative puzzle, the Rudenko Clips. This is another great implementation of the Tower of Hanoi puzzle, but instead of the traditional 127 steps, this one requires a minimum of 729 steps to solve. This is a great test for your concentration levels and also for your patience. Read more here.

New review on my blog. The Ziggurat is a great puzzle for the packing fans. It has nine unusual shaped pieces and you have to place them in a 3x3 square inside the tray so that they're all connected by at least one link. 3 levels of difficulty, with the third requiring all adjacent pieces to be connected by three links. Today's review is about a great puzzle/game invented by Vesa Timonen, the Solitaire Chess. This logic puzzle/game is based on the rules of traditional chess, except it's for one player only and every movement must capture a piece until there's only one left in the board. Very addicting. I have reviewed today a nice puzzle from Puzzle Crafthouse (Creative Crafthouse), the Royal Flush. This is a nine piece puzzle with card designations engraved on them. My first review of the week is for a great puzzle, the Trifolia by Kate Jones. This is an edge-matching 24 tile puzzle in all acrylic (tray and pieces), and there are many possible challenges. It comes in a hexagon shape with a checkerboard color pattern, but you can build many other shapes. Here's the link to read more about it.

The first is for a six-piece burr invented by Sam Mcflay, the Inverse Cube. The puzzle has three sets of pieces, each with a mirrored image of the other. Besides figuring out how to take it apart, you need to reassemble it back together, which is an even harder task. Read the review here.
