There was a Superman themed Snake released. Not sure if it was an official Rubik's version. I bought it via Ebay several years ago. The insets are lenticular, so the picture varies with viewing angle. Attachment:

On the latest episode of The Big Bang Theory (episode 6 of season 6), Sheldon was wearing a melting Rubik's Cube t-shirt. He also wore it on episode 11 of season 5. Skarabajo.

Just watching a show on HGTV called 'Extreme Homes' and one of the homes they showed was in France. It was a traditional farm house with a modern extension, and there were several twisty puzzles (couldn't see them all when I paused the show because the pause bar blocked it...) including a standard 3x3, picture cube, and what might have been a regular pyraminx had it not appeared to be too big (though it was proportional...custom, perhaps?).

I didn't see all of it but UK kids program MI High Series 5 episode 11 seemed to revolve around solving the Pendrix Puzzle. As far as I could see it was just a Rubik's Snake painted gold- http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... t_to_Crack . I don't think the link will work outside the UK.

In the German TV show Deutschlands Superhirn a young boy stood 10 meters in front of two square walls. Every wall was built out of 49 x 49 Rubik cubes. In total 4802 *9 cubies. He has to find the one and only different sticker in the right wall. Attachment:

On the 1st episode of the 2nd season of Touch, there is a Super Square 1, a Hungarian Supernova and a Pyraminx. Between scenes, the Super Square 1 got solved and the Pyraminx got scrambled. (click on the attachments to see the larger version)Skarabajo.

On the latest episode of The Big Bang Theory (episode 16 of season 6), I noticed a huge Rubik's Cube in the comic book store. Turns out that it lights up, as featured earlier this season. Skarabajo.

Often, puzzles seen on TV shows are just background props... But on the latest episode of The Big Bang Theory (episode 17 of season 6), a Rubik's Cube is actually part of the story for once; even if it is a small part. The cube they used has all white stickers removed, maybe they did this to make sure that the Rubik's logo was not visible. The pattern can be generated with D2 F' U2 L' F2 U' R D2 B U2 R' U' D' L U R B' F' (starting with red in F and yellow in U). (click on the attachments to see the larger version)Skarabajo.

Speaking of The Big Bang Theory, episode 6-14 had a 3d printer if that counts.

There was a Rubik's Cube shown for about 3 seconds during the clip about the Academy Scientific and Technical Awards, part of the 85th Academy Awards (commonly referred to as The Oscars).
The clip showed a twisty-puzzle enthusiast working on the CINE VCLX (Anton/Bauer, Inc.), a high–capacity battery system used to power cameras and other supplementary equipment required for production.

On "king of the nerds" episode 1, there's a perplexus AND a number of cubes 3x3x3, 5x5x5, magic, and I think a Rubik's revolution. 12:15 into the show. So would someone please tell me why I decided to watch this show???? And at the break they showed a giant 3x3x3 in the driveway.

In this case the easiest would probably be to get a screen grab from the episode on YouTube- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWb4rpRhGXo . I actually downloaded it from a different source and ran it through my video editing software.

Regarding "King of The Nerds". I have now watched every episode and all contain twisty puzzles. <SPOILER ALERT> None are actually used as intended in an event but they are frequently seen lying around, being played with or as part of an event where they have to be found or stacked upon each other. Kind or ironic how the least nerdiest person won the show. Even when the nerds themselves voted for people they picked the cooler people each time.

Community Season 3 episode 19 'Curriculum Unavailable' has the group visiting a 'psychiatrist'. The doctor has a series of puzzles and games on his table (a few burr-types, maybe a packing, some wire puzzles, one of those tilting labyrinths), and Abed is occasionally seen picking one up and solving it effortlessly. I was not able to find many good screenshots (and I don't want to risk exposing my computer to viruses by going to a TV website...) but if anyone is willing to pick out some good shots that would be great.

There are two generic cubes (fruits and standard) featured in the excellent documentary film Helvetica from 2007 (yes, a film about the typeface).
