Check this auction out: (No, I'm not the seller.)

And I always thought that Ideal never actually made a true siamese cube. I thought that the ones out there had been custom made using regular Ideal cubes before Meffert's Siamese cubes. Perhaps this was made by Arxon, Ideal Toy Company's German division. After all, they also produced the ultra-rare Ideal Rubik's Wahn.

...I guess when we find something rare on eBay, we tend to share...at a price !
This one is going to sell for a lot !
the general rule is that: when a link is posted here, the items sells for a lot more.
(Some eBay sellers must be really surprised sometimes.)

Funny thing too, look who is the high bidder !

Michael

P.S. I am not the seller.

Yeh, and look who the seller is. It's the same vendor who has two Rainbow Cubes. Do you suppose these Mates are commercially available now?

No clue about that... they ARE available, but just somewhat hard to get through traditional channels.

I only found out about the Rubik's Mate the other day reading through the Cubic Circular on Jaap's site.

I guess the global puzzling community is a lot smaller than I would have thought. It's good to know that a vendor is also an enthusiast.

These were a product sold by Ideal. Unless it's a fake redo, which I doubt. Looks to be the genuine thing. The seller must have rocks in his head to get rid of it.

Carter, what do you mean by "has two Rainbow Cubes"? Are they for sale, or did he buy them?
