The site may be a store. Try this link:

http://member.nifty.ne.jp/puzzle_cube/sub02.html

There is an email address, and I have already inquired about sales.

FYI,
Jason

It could be that items he currently is out of stock on and is looking for a new source are listed as such. Doubtful whether he'll be able to find a new source for Rainbow Masterballs seeing as how the Masterball home page doesn't even show them anymore.

PostPosted: Mon Dec 17, 2001 5:45 am
The fellow who runs the site, "Karr," replied to my email:

Hello,
The forwarding is possible.
Are you able to use paypal?
I am during a business trip.
Thank you.

Can anyone here speak Japanese fluently enough to converse with Karr? I'm worried something horrendous will get lost between tongues. The price on the Rainbow Cubes isn't bad--roughly $23 at today's exchange rate.

I noticed that the webmaster has my pic of my 5x3x3 extended. So I figure he must visit here, unless he got it from Hendrick or Denny who both have a copy of my picture.

It sounds like a lot of people are worried about buying puzzles from a Japanese shop because of the language barrier. I don't want to minimize the barrier, because it is significant. But we don't need to worry too much about doing business with Japanese nationals, because English is widely studied in Japan. You are MUCH better off doing business there in English than you would be in Japanese. My experience with Japanese businesspeople is that they want the work to be right. If Watanabe-san decides to sell puzzles to us, he will probably set up a PayPal account, and you can be sure, he will make sure that the terms and conditions of the sale will be fully explained in English. This ain't some third world country we are dealing with here. I just hope he decides that our business is worth the trouble.
