The Brainball, doesn't split up like this one, but does turn on itself and has numbers,
but it looks like a hybrid of Rubik Cheese, Rubik UFO & the Brainball.

Another puzzle which the one pictured resembles is called the Hocky Puck puzzle, which comes in various forms, with varying number of colours. I'll post pictures if anyone want to see them.
Best wishes,

Martin

I only know of 1 place to buy the hockey puck puzzle on the internet today. They typically charge $10 each plus shipping. (I have not done any business with them.) Here's the address:

http://www.pucks.net/misc.html

It's called "InGlasCo Puzzle Puck".

Does anyone else know of another source? (Especially with some of the other styles.)

Doug.

Hi Doug,

Here is another place:
http://www.wsd.com/HockeyPuck/

...once in a blue moon, rainbow hockey puck puzzle appear on eBay,
i wrote to the guy that sells them to ask him if they were made in Canada,
because both him and I live in canada, and hockey is our national sport,
and I wanted to know if they were brand new and came in a "clam shell" packaging.

He said they were made in Canada, and were brand new in a clear plastic "clam shell" packaging,
but was "unconfortable" telling me his source...
I guess he thought i was going to buy several and sell them on eBay, I am not interested in selling on eBay
but how could he believe me ?

Anyway, I told him, that i would eventualy try and win one in his auction.

:)

They are a wholesale distributor in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
InGlasCo Corp Ltd
930 rue Blais
Sherbrooke, Quebec
J1K 2B7
819-566-1994

Being wholesale means you have to find a retailer that carries their product. It never hurts to ask.

Cheers,
Jake

So you can twist them in half like slicing a pizza in half, but can you rotate the top like twisting a lid on a peanut butter jar?

Yes, I'm familiar with the wsd webpage, but I'm almost 100% certain that they neither make nor sell the puzzle anymore.
