FYI, there's a Tomy Megaminx currently on auction at eBay
This thing did at one time go up to US$100 which surprised everyone!!
Hopefully this time it will sell for lower but it's currently US$26+ already..LoL

Looks quite nice. Surely good for a collector, but as for me the first thing I would do is mess it up. Not my sort of thing I guess. Better if it was in its original box?

Just would like to ask anyone's opinion how much should i spend on a Tomy Megaminx in excellent condition without the original box though?
Is US$30 high enough? THANX!!
Also, is the Megaminx that Hendrik Haak is selling a knock-off, a Tomy or just Meffert's type?

Hard to say how much one would be worth MIB. The thing is, they weren't a high volume item so you dont' see a lot of them floating around. Other than the little sticker that says "Tomy" on it, there isn't much of a reason to buy one over a new Mefferts Megaminx if you're just going to play with it. Other than its value as a collectible, don't pay more than what is listed on Meffert's site.

But on the other hand, it IS a Tomy Megaminx so I could see the price being well over $100 if it's MIB. You'd be lucky if you were able to buy one in that condition on eBay for $30 or less with the usual sharks waiting to snatch it.
