This is the video where bmenrigh showed the sealing of WSF. He uses this (presumably) twisty puzzle piece.

He says that this is the Curvy Copter Skewb, but I have this puzzle and no piece in it resembles the one he used.

What puzzle is this?

I'm 99% sure it is from one of Carl's Bubbloids. I think it is the Bubbloid 122 corner.

Well the Bubbloid122 corner and the Bubbloid112 corner are the EXACT same part. And this is NOT it. At the moment I have to say I don't recognize this part so I don't think its from any of my puzzles. I hope someone doesn't prove me wrong in 5 minutes.

Carl

Well, I do not think it is as well. Bubbloid corners have spaces for caps, while this does not.

I'm not sure how I missed this thread.

I was testing sealing a Curvy Copter Skewb but that test piece I used for the initial PoC demo belongs to one of Jason Smith's FTI puzzles (Radiolarian 1). The centers of the Icosahedron screw into the core but due to the design of the puzzle, they also need to have a thin shaft to hold some pieces above it as well as be exposed at the surface. To accommodate a screw and a shaft Jason cut the part into two pieces. Unfortunately the initial STL had the caps too close to the body of the part and they fused. I'm testing with the fused pieces.

I have a pretty big graveyard of WSF pieces to test with
