Worldwide Shapeways Meetup - February 28th

Hey everyone,

As I'm sure many of you are aware, Shapeways is holding a worldwide event on Thursday, February 28th. There are meetups happening all over the world, all on the same day. http://www.meetup.com/ShapewaysCommunity/

I thought I'd start a thread here to spread the word and to try to get more puzzlers to join in. If you are going to be at a meetup, post about it here!

I will be bringing all the printed puzzles I have to the Chicago meetup, which is at 7:00pm at Queue Marketing Communications Group, 820 W Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL 60607. http://www.meetup.com/ShapewaysCommunit ... go/867692/ It would be great to meet some TP forum members there!

Hi Eitan,
I will try to be there. I'm more of just a purchaser of shapeways products, but I could bring some twisty toys with if it's appropriate. It sounds like it's more just for shapeways designers though.

Nope, it's for anyone interested in 3D printing, whether you design for it, build the output, or collect the end products. Feel free to bring whatever you've had printed! I look forward to seeing you there.

Eindhoven (home of Shapeways) is not part of the worldwide event; instead of that I'll be at the Eindhoven factory tour on 8. March.

I just got back from the Chicago meetup. It was fantastic! There were about 25 or 30 people there, 4 of whom brought things they had made. Most of the people were there just because they were interested in learning more about 3D printing.

I'll post more pictures later, but here's one to start off. It's me with Rob (Virtox) and Tom (not sure what his shapeways name is...).

Oh, and I also got a Shapeways "Made in the Future" shirt, and a whole bunch of wonderful sample prints!
