Just had a big shock -
Found a shop in the North Of England selling V-Cubes 3 (pillowed), 5 and 7.
Some of you may wonder what the shock was, but believe me if you live in the North Of England you would understand.
The North Of England is like the forgotten land when it comes to anything puzzley in the form of twisty, (and everything else in the world when you come to think of it), yes we can get the Rubik's Cube 3x3x3, standard and mini that's it. Even in the heyday in the early 80's it was sad. There was a time though a few years ago when one particular outlet did sell Mefferts and Square 1's, but this didn't last that long.
I won't give the name of the shop just in case I'm breaking any rules - any advice on this?

Just thought I'd let you know.

Not just the North of England, down here in the South it is pretty free from any stores selling puzzles. Do they have a website? I don't think I can justify a very long drive just for a few cubes.

I live in the North of England. It might be small compared with the US etc, but it's still a flipping big place.

Where exactly is this shop? Are we talking Chester (7 miles away) or Leeds (80 miles away)?

Here's the rules on this:
1) go buy what you want first
2) post the shop address
3) if you didn't do #1 and go back to do it after you do #2, don't cry if all the puzzles are gone

Post away. It helps everyone find shops. Just be careful that you aren't posting a place that only sells KO's...

To narrow it down a bit it is the North East Of England, not just the frozen North.

The shop is Mind Games in the Metrocentre, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, (near Newcastle Upon Tyne for those who don't know this forgotten/ignored part of England).

It is a genuine shop that sells various sorts of other puzzles and games - that sort of shop.

Been there for many years now. Used to have another shop in Newcastle for a short while.

It is listed in the Directory Of Puzzle Collectors And Puzzle Sellers 2007.

I always pop into this shop when I'm in the Metrocentre, but I have never seen them selling V-cubes before.

I thought it was going to be Happy Secrets in Keswick Cumbria.

It was last weekend - Saturday 31st March. First time I've seen them. I pop in everytime we go to the Metrocentre, approx once a month. Just down the road.



Happy Secrets - Mmm never heard of that one. Have to check it out next time in lakes.

Well, I live in Belgium and in a store at like 10 km from me, they sell Rubik's Worlds, Rubik's 2x2x4s, even 4x4's 5x5's! But it's way more expensive than online. Its like 20€ for a 4x4
