The Gathering for Gardner 10 will be held March 28 to April 1 in Atlanta, Georgia. Using this thread I hope to share a few pictures with you and create a blog (sorta) for myself.

Tomorrow I will be on the plane with Oskar and Peter. It is my first time flying such a long distance and also will be my first time in the States. Today I put the finishing touches on two puzzles so I was finally able to take the family picture of puzzles that will go with me in my carry-on luggage (some 10 4x4x6’s are hiding in my suitcase) as I am not trusting the baggage handlers… I think I have everything now: travel authorization, passport, boarding pass, US-EU adapter, adapter to make my laptop fit in to the EU adapter, laptop, some 7 US dollars, various USB cables… I have gently reminded my mom that I will not need two pairs of socks per day.
University has given me permission to skip some mandatory classes and I got varying reactions from teachers whom I casually asked for a homework deadline extension because "I was just going to talk at a conference in Atlanta". And if you have a sticker plotter why not use it: a beautiful G4G sticker now adorns my suitcase, too.
I managed to finish putting 1200 3-piece puzzle pieces in 400 plastic bags (I think ordering those bags got me on a drugs watch list, unfortunately) so I am all done. Or am I: now I should stop typing and put the finishing touches on my presentation!

Nice!!! I was wondering when it would be "safe" to mention G4G10 as I hadn't seen it mentioned here yet. I'll be going as well and this is basically my first outing of this type and I look forward to meeting several of you for the first time.

By the way, have all the puzzles in that picture been introduced here in the forums? The one where the corners look like 3x3x3's and 2x2x2's I don't believe I've seen before. I saw a very similiar idea proposed here:

but was unaware a real puzzle had already been made.

How I envy you guys!

Melinda Green, the creator of the 4D cube, told me that she was going to this conference. Maybe she can represent the cubers from the SF bay area. I don't know if Bram is going or not. Obviously she can't bring a physical 4D cube.

It should be a great fun to join the G4G. Simply envy you. I would like to join it one day. ^^
