Hey Puzzlers,

I just got to Pittsburgh to visit Carnegie Mellon's Masters of Product Design program. I'm here until Tuesday afternoon. I'm going to be visiting Carnegie Mellon on Monday starting at 12pm, but if there are any puzzlers in the area who want to meet for coffee on Monday or Tuesday morning, shoot me a PM.

On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, I'll be in Evanston, IL. If anyone wants to get coffee and play with puzzles, shoot me a PM!

I just had a very nice meeting with Darryl. We met at the Barnes and Noble in Evanston and played with puzzles for 30 to 45 minutes. It was short, but it was great to meet another forum member in person!

Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera (my iPod touch had run out of batteries). I had my ETRD, FTPD, MegaTwist, and GigaTwist with me. He brought a few disentanglement puzzles, a very tricky wooden puzzle that kind of pissed me off because it required brute force (not much, but more than most disassembly puzzles) which I felt is not in the spirit, TomZ's Curvy Copter, a few sliding puzzles, a Lunatic Lock (that I couldn't figure out), and the Hanayama Cast Spiral (which I did figure out!).

Yeah, it was a great meeting. Eitan's puzzles are incredible! The Fractured Madness has got to be one of the craziest twisty puzzle's I've seen. Not too many 10 faced puzzles out there. I'd love to see a thorough analysis on the combinations possible for it. The gigatwist is insane when messed up. Just to get it back into the regular shape is a near impossible task.

For anyone else in the area who wants to get together, let me know. I've got about 1000 or so puzzles - most of which aren't even twisty type puzzles.

Sounds like a nice meetup. If you ever get down to the St. Louis area, let me know.
