This is a deeper cut edge turning dodecahedron. Drewseph was the first and so far only to make a working puzzle a reality. It was quite large. Do a search for starminx 3, or III.

I actually already have a design for the 5-cube version of the Compound Cubes, but I have run into the same issue as Drew did on the Starminx II: Unless I make the puzzle huge, the mechanism will be very unstable, with lots of very thin parts.
I will take another look at it, though, to see if I missed anything, but I doubt it.
