Hi,
The last thread of this kind is no older than 2 months. Still I think it is worth the time because some minutes ago I added a puzzle with index=4000. Getting to this point from the last milestone took so much time because I focused on improving existing entries by adding more than 100 images.
I do not know whether I should go on like this or focus back on the newer things where a backlog of ca. 30 entries accumulated. Currently there is some sort of leakage in motivation. I could still need help with my image-editing staff. Any volunteers?
Best regards Andreas

That's really impressive Andreas! I'm often in the museum and view the fantastic puzzles.
Which puzzle is number 4000?

OK, you can count me in as a volunteer. I have to go to the hospital next week, though, and get my left eye operated. I'm not sure how long it will take until I see again reasonably (It is a serious operation, but not very serious.) Andreas, I'll write a PM when I'm fit again.

Andreas you have done an exceptional job and in the past years you have made some unbelievable progress that (I believe) no one else could have made!
The point (as stated by others before me) is all about having images+description.
I believe all designers/inventors should make clean photos of their own puzzles, or at least find someone close to them who knows how to do this. The help they will then provide to the Museum team would be extremely precious. Moreover, it is the creators who are the ones that can actually present their own creations better.
Again, thank you Andreas!
Pantazis
PS. Konrad, all the best for your eye operation!

I would love to help. Starting next week though, because I'm not at home and don't have a computer/ laptop (just my iPad).

School's over for me and I enjoy image editing a bit. I really appreciate the TP museum and the work you've done with it, Andreas, so I'll volunteer. I can do description writeups or proofreading as well if you need that.

Hello Andreas,
I would be more than happy to lend a hand with image cleanup, editing etc. I am a graphic artist by trade with many years of experience, so I feel confident I can be of assistance.
Please let me know how I can help.

OK, I'm back home and the operated eye is better than before, already I have done some editing for Andreas and learnt some rules interactively. I tried to find something written by the use of the Search function, but without success. I'll summarize my current understanding for other new volunteers and hope that Andreas and other experienced editors will correct me or add something missing: - white background (I'm not sure how this is handled for white puzzles. My last pictures where white puzzles, originals with white background. The puzzle bodies looked a bit greyish. What if the original pictures have very white puzzles on dark backgrounds?) - do not reduce the resolution of the original pictures (Andreas has his own tools doing this. The current size in the Museum is 350x350, but it may happen that Sandy switches to a higher resolution in the future) - square format where appropriate - output format .png (not .jpg) - delivery to Andreas via rapidshare or dropbox preferred - put logically related pictures into one .zip archive Something missing? Maybe we should have a set of rules for taking pictures for the Museum, too: - white (at least uniform) background for black puzzle bodies, dark (grey) background for white puzzles - resolution at least 500x500 pixels
