It apparently is a robot designed to solve rubiks cubes. I believe that it was made from LEGO Mindstorms.
I will try to find out more information.

I friend told me about it. Apparently, it takes the Robot about 20 min to solve a cube. It needs to move slowly to prevent creating a large torque that can pull the lego pieces apart. Friends brought their unsolved cubes to the people that put this together
