They close automatically when something (anything) touches the hairs inside its "mouth" (= modified leaves):

You are welcome to use it. The photo is genuine (like the stag beetle one). As Kelvin shows it closes when you put anything inside. I actually videoed it but it was pretty unexciting so I won't upload it until I can film it scoffing a fly as well.
