Hey does anyone know the arrangement of the original Rubik's Perpetual Calendar Cube? I heard about this puzzle at and there is a possible arrangement suggested at but I was wondering if anyone had one and knew the original arrangement...?

The scheme is online at the US Patent database, patent US04409750. The twisty site has a link somewhere. You'll need a .tiff image viewer plug-in, though. To be honest, I found it lacking, and you don't really need it to make a decent facsimile. With a little letter crunching, you can easily improve on it--that is, use up full cubies instead of every one having just one blank. The days of the week can fit on 2 corners plus 1 face, and all the single days (0-9) can fit on 3 corners plus one face. You can also tailor the letters of the month so that each 2-face cubie you use is full without making goofs, like having J and N on the same cubie. (I'd describe the whole scheme I used, but I gave my only one to a lady friend.)

Hope this helps!
