A reduced Bolaris, reimplementing a 2D puzzle from the same designer.

The Compass 3D was the result of the designer's strive to create a puzzle based on a compass. He could not find a 2D implementation and therefore created this 3Dvvariant in a collaboration with David Pitcher.
During implementation of this puzzle he finally found a 2D concept which has its own entry in the museum.
Unlike the 2D version the outer pieces are rotated. One piece can be removed to activate the functionality of a moving hole puzzle.
