The Pentultimate transformed into the shape of a cube with two differently shaped pentagons, oriented differently.
The Pentaskewb is the third Pentultimate in shape of a cube. Since the symmetry classes of cube and dodecahedron are incompatible, pieces that are mechanically identical have to come in different shapes. The pentagons come in two different shapes. The triangle come in three different shapes.
The designer achieved this by slightly rotating the axis system around a corner to get a nice pattern on the faces reminiscent of the Skewb. That's also where it gets the name from.
It was actually presented for the first time at Dutch Cube Day 2019, but the designer waited until 2020..
