The Projective Astrominx could also be called a Slice Astrominx. It looks and moves similarly to the Astrominx, but opposite corners move together and opposite faces are coloured the same. It is an icosahedral version of the inventor's Projective Dino Octa (see the separate entry), having the same mechanism, piece types, and face pattern. The mechanism uses the same principle as the Slice Megaminx released around the same time.
