A pentagonal prism with two layers and wedge-like extensions.
This is the second design of the inventor's after the "odd cube" (see the separate entry). He was messing around with magnetic construction toys and came up with a pentagonal prism with five wedge-like extensions.
He wanted different colours for each "face", so it has a total of 22 different colours on it. 10 of them are on the angled faces with no cuts, so they don't affect the solve, but the sides and top/bottom of course do.
