This puzzle is basically a variant of Rob's Pyraminx where there are circles on the faces and not triangles.
It was 3D-printed by Jason Gavril in ABS plastic.

In 2020 a mass produced version hit the market with the name "Classroom Bead Pyraminx Cube". See images 5-6.
