This puzzle was the result of a suggestion from Evgeniy Grigoriev to unbandage his clover tetrahedron puzzle (see the separate entry) when he made that puzzle available on his shop. This resulted in what is essentially an interesting shape mod of Dayan's 12-axes Bi Yi Niao Cube which also has its own entry.
