Invented, produced, and marketed by Rudolph Destics. Patented in USA in 1996. Came in a variety of colour configurations.
This puzzle combines the 2x2x2 with the Equator. Therefore it can be considered as spherical predecessor of the Mixup Cube, except there are four additional pieces in every equatorial ring.
It is an extremely rare puzzle since only 1500 samples were produced. To make amtters even worse this was done in 18 different styles.
