Truncated Cube
Above:Solved
Click a thumbnail to see its larger version and description.
The corners on this 48 mm cube have been trimmed to a triangular silver stickered surface.

Some versions of this cube had a triangular gold stickered surface.
There are at least two packaging. One of them is labeled "Wonderful Puzzler"

It is interesting to note that the very first Rubik's Cube prototype was actually a large wooden Truncated Cube.
It is very similar to the "Cuboctahedron" and the "Truncated Trajber's Octahedron", though this one is shallower than those.
This shape variant was mentioned in David Singmasters Cubic Circular Issue 1 from Autum 1981.
