The element of the series of face turning rhombic dodecahedrons which had been missing.

It's a Face Turning Rhombic Dodecahedron (or FTRD for short) that turns on multiple layers. It's effectively a slot filler in the FTRD series, where the Rua has 2 pieces to an edge, a standard FTRD has 3 pieces to an edge, and the Master FTRD has 5 pieces to an edge, this puzzle, of course, has 4 pieces to an edge.
When only slices are used together with jumbling states like the one in image 4 can be achieved.

As for the proportions, the outer layers are twice as thick as the inner layers, so during a regular FTRD scramble, the grouped center pieces would be the same size as the corners and some other pieces. It's this aesthetic that pushed the inventor to make this puzzle in the first place, since he wanted to play with and solve both the Rua and the regular FTRD, and this puzzle allows me to do just that.

The puzzle consists of 291 pieces and is stickered with Oliver's Stickers.
Edge length: 60 mm
