This is not the first 4x4x4 in shape of a Trigonal Trapezohedron, aka Rhombohedron. The first was presented in 2011 by Andeas Nortmann under the name "Trigonal Trapezohedron 4x4x4". This one differs from its predcessor in three ways:
- It has only three colours instead of six.
- It is pillowed and therefore shorter.
- It was made by reassembling pieces from two mass produced Mastermorphixes.
