Another one that's simple in theory... but hard to make and visualize. Tony Fisher invented this in the mid-late 1990's. It is a Skewb variation, parts are added only. No cutting of the original parts.

The Mental Block's dimensions are Ysqr(2) x 3Y/sqr(2) x 3Y/sqr(2), where Y represents the length of a side of the Skewb used in the transformation. If you used a standard Skewb (approximately 5.7cm along a side), the resulting Mental Block would be approximately 4cm x 12cm x 12cm (over double the height of a standard Rubik's Cube).
