Although it first looks like a 4x4x4 it is actually a 2x2x2. A J designed it to have three different solutions:
1: The outer dices are solved by number.
2: The inner dices are solved by number.
3: The inner dices are solved by colour.
Other solutions can by imagined as well:
4: The inner four dices of each side sum up to 14.
5: The outer 12 dices of each side sum up to 14*3.
