This 3x3x3 was revamped by its modern trademark owner to make it faster. Although this can't be prooven here it sports another difference to earlier variants. This one has tiles instead of stickers which prevent peeling and cheating. Although: Who does peel of stickers nowadays?
The copyright holder named on the package is "Rubik's brand ltd." but this is based out of Seven Towns Ltd which announced to transfer all copyrights and trademarks to their new creation. To keep the record straight the museum will still name the producer as "Seven Towns Ltd".
The production of 3x3x3s with caved-in tiles began in 2013. They were sold in cuboidal package. See the separate entry. This entry is about the package with in shape of a triangular prism.
