Tetra-Chop

Click a thumbnail to see its larger version and description.
A puzzle based on the magnets-only little chop, but with two opposing faces being equilateral triangles.

The creator desrived this puzzle of the little chop and used the same magnets and steelball mechanism. In this version, the additional "X" cuts on the rectangular faces are completely trivial, and the cuts don't move at all. The puzzle turns smoothly, but is quite fragile. This version happens to glow green in the dark. The creator does not plan to use the steelball and magnets mechanisn on larger puzzles because of the instability of this puzzle.
