An ordinary 3x3x3 ... that received a guiness world record certificate for its size.

After fiddling with this idea Tony's had the first idea of how to actually make a really big cube in 2014 when the 180 mm mass produced Rubik's Cube became available. Immediately Tony realized those cubes could be used instead of making a complete core himself. The question however was would it be strong enough and it wasn't until very late 2015/early 2016 that he would give it a go.
The Cube produced a huge amount of media coverage, e.g. from the Sunday Mirror and from a Japanese film crew that asked to come round and film the cube and me with Japanese model and presenter Nana Suzuki.
On 14th April Guinness notified the inventor that they had accepted it as an official world record and the certificate was sent to Tony.
Edge length: 1570 mm

Usually the museum does not use images with the inventor in it but this time ... well, lets hope you can see what forced this exception. Tony allowed his images to be used in the museum under the condition that a watermark is included.
