Two 2x2x2s (rotated with respect each other) fused into one puzzle.

Jumble Intersect is an optical illusion suggesting two intersecting cubes. The puzzle was inspired by Dave's Diamond Shape Modification by Carl Hoff, which itself was inspired by Dave's Diamond puzzle (see the separate entry). Both these puzzles aimed to have two intersecting 2x2x2 Rubik's Cubes, each intended to be fully functional. Unfortunately, that design did not work out, as the hidden rails got mixed up, blocking the puzzle. Jumble Intersect is a squashed version of Carl Hoff's puzzle. By squashing the design, the geometry changes into that of the Minimal Hex, and the puzzle becomes feasible. Like Minimal Hex, also Jumble Intersect has a rails mechanism, it has no core, and it is hollow at the inside. This guarantees that there can be no hidden bandaging.
At first, this puzzle seems to be a face turning hexagonal dipyramid but its geometry does not closely follow that axis system. Instead the axes and cutting planes meet with angles that resemble the triangular dipyramid.
