Functionally the same as a 2x2x2. In solved position it has the shape of a tetrahedron, a platonic solid. Depending on the relative positions of the protruding pieces this puzzle can have 6 different shapes.
This puzzle created the tradition to call every NxNxN in tetrahedral shape xyz-morphix.
