The Super OctoCube is a more advanced version of David Pitcher's OctoCube. It allows for layer outer layer rotations of 45 degrees, then continued rotation of other faces. The puzzle quickly shapeshifts and jumbles. This puzzle was designed by Zem (Jake Gaudet) over the course of 2 months and was originally designed as a TSA competition entry for his 11th grade year of high school. The puzzle was originally 3D printed though Shapeways.
It can be viewed as the mother of the Bermuda Cubes.
In 2017 a mass produced version hit the market, named "Sun Cube". It was produced with black and with stickerless bodies.
The package was used for the Curvy Copter III too.
