A vertex-turning square antiprism with the shape of a Gyroelongated Square Dipyramid which is a Johnson solid.

This puzzle is based on a square antiprism and has a core with a 8 armed spider.
The shape is Johnson solid #17 and bears the name "Gyroelongated Square Dipyramid". It consists of 16 equilateral triangles. It is a square antiprism with square pyramids attached on the top and the bottom sides.
The inventor designed the pieces in CAD, 3D printed the masters and duplicated them by casting.

This puzzle shares its axis system with Astroid Attack although Lotus has some pieces less.
