Two Megaminx's were truncated into spheres, then after filling and shaping was fine tuned, a face on each puzzle was then removed, and the two puzzles were fused together into one. Each halve is equivalent to the Stinx.
Also, the way its stickered offers an interesting solve too, as parity problems often occur.
