Meffert's build-up and truncation of a Skewb into an octahedron.
The Skewb modded into its dual polyhedron. Pieces with no visible orientation on the Skewb now have orientation on the Skewb Diamond, and vice versa. This puzzle is classified as a deep-cut face-turning octahedron.
Tony Fisher custom built the first sample of this puzzle in 1991 although he did not know about sketches and drawings which were made and published before.
In 1999 Uwe Mefferts started to mass produce this puzzle.
