A heavily truncated megaminx. Nowadays this shape transformation resembles the hexaminx or the Icositetranova.

This is one member of Jürgen Brandt's series of shape variants. A series he presented in a video from 2003. The exact year of its creation is unknown but its video gives a lower bound. It is therefore one of the younger shape variants.
For this variant Jürgen Brandt truncated a megaminx regularly on 12 of its 20 corners. These regular cuts change the eight truncated corners in regular triangles. It was created with a tetrakis hexahedron in mind but Jürgen wanted to keep the cuts regular.
Looking from 2012 this shape can be viewed as predecessor of the Icositetranova or the Hexaminx.
Jürgen made it directly after creating his Megaminxdiikosaeder for which he used the same cuts.
