This shape transformation of a 3x3x3 combines two concepts in one new creation:
At first a 3x3x3 was equipped with additional layers of cubies on three faces. Afterwards this cubes was transformed into an axis cube like it was done with the first sample of this kind: The cube was truncated into a hexagonal dipyramid and the non-truncated faces received extensions to delete them. Therefore the puzzle can be viewed as a Bump Axis Cube.
