A close relative to Number Planet. A puzzle with 11 numbered tiles and two ways of turning.
Gear Planet has 11 tiles. There is a gearing&sliding mechanism for scrambling the tiles. The object is to get them all back in order. Experts may recognize some similarity between the gearing of four tiles, and the up-and-down mechanism of Port-to-Port.
There are two types of moves possible. The first one moves the tiles along the equator. The second is performed by twisting the puzzle's stand which exchanges two pairs of tiles.
Gear Planet was suggested by Ferdinand Lammertink to the inventor. See the museum for more puzzles by Ferdinand.
