The first 2x2x2 in shape of a square antirpsim was presented 2 years earlier. New about this shape variant is the slightly twisted axis system within the shape. The puzzle was "windmilled".
This twist in axis system gives the puzzle a new interesting property: All eight pieces have an identical shape.
