A 3x3x3 "fishered" within an octagonal prism.

Back in the eighties Octagons (made from 3x3x3's) were produced and sold in masses just like the 3x3x3 itself. The Octagon is therefore the most often produced shape for the 3x3x3 ever. But this Octagon did not have the shape of a true octagonal prism since the lengths of all edges were not identical.

This new variant differs from the original Octagon in its dimensions and the orientation of the axis system: This shape is a true octagonal prism and the axis system was reoriented (turned by 45° => "fishered") within the solid.
