The deepcut edge turning octahedron. Made as shape transformation from the hexahedral puzzle.

This creation relies heavily on the design of the 24 cube (aka Little Chop; a deepcut edge turning hexhaedron) made by Matt Shepit. After Karl-Heinz Diekmann printed a sample of the 24 Cube for Matt in 2010, Karl-Heinz printed this sucessing design, the same mechanism but in octahedral shape.
It should be mentioned that the first octahedral Little Chop was made by Tanner Frisby in 2009 although that sample used magnets and a steelball.
Because of the later OctaStar II this puzzle is also known as "OctaStar".
