A half truncated Square-1.

A "half truncated" cube is one of the best known shape transformations ever applied to a 3x3x3. Often newcomers are advised to try this modification first. This shape has been made from other puzzles too. This is the version made from a Square-1.
The shape of this puzzle closely matches the chamfered tetrahedron.
The first sample known so far was presented in 2007 by Matt Shepit. He choose the name out of the clear blue sky.
The images of this entry show samples made by Li Chung Man in 2010 except for image 5 for which Li Chung Man used his trademark stickers.
