This is the logical successor of the hexagonal dipyramid 3x3x3. It was even made from a hexagonal dipyramid by truncating it again in 12 places. This makes the triangles so small that one wonders how far this concept can be pushed before stickering become impossible. This solid is definitely nearer to the bicone than the hexahedron is was made from.
