The Windmill Cube is one of the most popular creations of Katzuhiko Okamoto. It is made from a 3x3x3. In 2009 the idea to move this concept over to a 4x4x4 was discussed in public but nothing happened. One year later Kyler van der Gaag rediscovered this concept and realized the first sample with a 4x4x4, aka Master Cube.
Later a mass produced cube was published under the name Windmill cube although there is a small deviation from the perfect angle. See image 4.
