In 2009 the designer Ola Jannson came up with a design which allows to create cuboids 2x2xN with arbitrary N. This had been a theoretical approach for one year until Ola got in contact with Karl-Heinz Diekmann which supplied him with a full printed example of his creation. This time for a 2x2x9. It was part of a series of 4 puzzle all designed by Ola and printed by Karl-Heinz. They were even presented directly one after the other.
