This Wonderful Puzzler cube features images from the original Pac-Man video game.
Image 2 shows that the stickers were simply stuck on top of a standard, already stickered Wonderful Puzzler cube. Strange. The colours of the images on the stickers matches the colour of the sticker underneath in all but the two cases seen here.
The four ghosts are:
Colour: Pink Name: Speedy Nickname: Pinky
Colour: Blue Name: Bashful Nickname: Inky
Colour: Red Name: Shadow Nickname: Blinky
Colour: Green Name: Pokey Nickname: Clyde
In fact, there was no green ghost in the original Pac-Man game. There was an orange ghost.
The other two side depict Pac-Man and the key which is the bonus "fruit" from the 13th stage up to the 256 stage... where the game crashes. It's worth 5000 points, which is quite a lot, considering a free man is earned every 10,000 points.
This puzzle was shown in the book "Puzzles Old and New How to Make and Solve Them" which was published in 1986. This gives an upper bound for this puzzles publication.
Edge length: 57 mm
Weight: 102 grams
There is also a version with an edible ghost instead of a key. See images 13-14.
